## 1. Reddit: r/codex

**Title:** EGM: fresh-context spec reviews in Codex

**Body:**

EGM is an open-source plugin for reviewing software specs before implementation.

The drafting session uses your project context. Separate reviewer subagents read the spec and relevant source code without seeing that conversation. They check whether the design is understandable and ready to implement.

```sh
codex plugin marketplace add google/elephant-goldfish-model
codex plugin add egm@egm
```

Use `/egm-draft` to write a spec, or review an existing one:

```text
/egm-review docs/designs/my-feature.md
```

The review covers architecture, comprehension, design criticism, and implementation readiness. You decide which findings to accept.

Apache-2.0 licensed. Source and setup:

## 2. Reddit: r/ClaudeCode weekly showcase

EGM is an open-source Claude Code plugin for reviewing software specs with fresh subagents.

One session drafts with project context. Reviewers read the spec and relevant code without inheriting the drafting conversation. Roles include a naive reader, design critic, and codebase auditor.

```sh
claude plugin marketplace add google/elephant-goldfish-model
claude plugin install egm@egm
```

Run `/egm:egm-draft` to write a spec, then:

```text
/egm:egm-review docs/designs/my-feature.md
```

The plugin is free and Apache-2.0 licensed. Your coding-agent usage costs still apply.

## 3. Product Hunt

**Name:** Elephant-Goldfish Model (EGM)

**Tagline:** Fresh-context reviews for software specs

**Description:** Draft a software spec with project context, then review it with isolated agents before implementation. EGM is an open-source plugin for Codex, Claude Code, and Antigravity.

**First comment draft:**

EGM separates drafting a spec from reviewing it.

The Elephant session has the project history and context. Goldfish reviewers start fresh with the spec and relevant source code. They don't see the conversation that produced the design.

The plugin includes brainstorming, drafting, staged review, and resolving findings. Engineers decide what to change.

It's Apache-2.0 licensed, with installs for Codex, Claude Code, and Antigravity. The skills and reviewer prompts are in the repository:
https://github.com/google/elephant-goldfish-model

**Before submitting:** Add your role in the project and credit the other makers. Check for an existing listing. Use a real spec, finding, and revision for the gallery.

**Pricing:** Free plugin. Coding-agent subscription or model usage costs are separate.

**Field limits:** Tagline: 60 characters. Description: 260 characters. [Product Hunt launch guide](https://help.producthunt.com/en/articles/17350772-launch-guide)

## 4. LinkedIn

EGM reviews software specs with agents that haven't seen the conversation that produced them.

The drafting session has the project context. Separate reviewers get the spec and relevant source code. They check comprehension, architecture, and readiness for implementation.

It's an open-source plugin for Codex, Claude Code, and Antigravity. The skills and reviewer prompts are available to inspect:

## 5. X / Bluesky

EGM reviews software specs with fresh-context agents before implementation. Draft with project context; review without the drafting conversation. Open-source plugin for Codex, Claude Code, and Antigravity.

## 6. DEV article

**Title:** Review a software spec with fresh-context agents

Elephant-Goldfish Model (EGM) separates the agent writing a software spec from the agents reviewing it. The drafting session uses project context. Reviewers get the spec and relevant source code without the drafting conversation.

### Install in Codex

```sh
codex plugin marketplace add google/elephant-goldfish-model
codex plugin add egm@egm
```

### Review a spec

Use `/egm-draft` to develop a design document, or start with an existing one:

```text
/egm-review docs/designs/my-feature.md
```

The review runs through architecture, comprehension, criticism, and implementation-readiness stages. Use `/egm-resolve` to work through the findings.

Check each finding against the code and intended behavior. Reviewers can be wrong. Accept a finding when it identifies a missing decision, an inconsistency, or something the spec needs to explain.

The extra review uses time and model tokens. Try it on one feature and judge the findings before making it part of your regular workflow.

## 7. Indie Hackers

**Title:** Reviewing a spec before a coding agent implements it

EGM is an open-source plugin that separates spec drafting from review.

A session with project context writes the design. Fresh subagents review the spec and relevant code without seeing the drafting conversation. You resolve the findings before implementation.

It adds review time and model usage, so it makes more sense to try it on a substantial feature than a small fix.

## Verification and sources

Checked October 22, 2026 against the [README](https://github.com/google/elephant-goldfish-model/blob/main/README.md) and [harness documentation](https://github.com/google/elephant-goldfish-model/blob/main/docs/harnesses.md). Install commands were read from the docs, not retested for these drafts.

The harness docs report automated installation, reviewer isolation, and workflow fixtures for Codex, Claude Code, and Antigravity. Cowork and ChatGPT Work have separate cloud trace verification gaps.
